Seven Strange Things About Me by Miss D
It’s taken me for-bloody-ever, but I’ve finally gotten around to coming up with Seven Strange Things About Me. I like to think I’m too cool for memes, but here I am, meming away like a good thing. After all. It’s about me.
Hup:
- I have a whispy little singing voice which was inflicted on the world via three Aussie radio stations in an exciting career that lasted about 12 months and earned me the princely sum of about $220.
- I am a physical coward with no head for heights, but I’ve abseiled down a waterfall, done the touristy harbour bridge-climb, steered a piper cherokee and ridden shotgun in a helicopter, a hanglider and an ultralight. I just whinged, complained and moaned a lot through each of these experiences.
- I once got a personal tour of the Rainbow Warrior by the very charming Captain who is everything you could possibly want in an eco-warrior. I briefly considered running away to sea.
- I have an embarrassing malfunction of the brain that used to cause constant blackouts, blinding headaches and long periods of complete confusion. I’m pretty good these days thanks to my folks, my Irishman, some good friends and some very good drugs!
- Even though I studied music, I always knew that I was going to be some kind of writer. I just figured you have to be over 30 before you can write anything half-decent. Then I thought it was 35. Now I think it’s 40.
- I used to spend my nights hanging out with a group who were big into “urban trespassing” – exploring drains, abandoned power stations, squats, airconditioning ducts etc. Very rich bored white kid kinda stuff, now that I think about it — I think we read too much Enid Blyton as children.
- I once was involved in accidentally starting — and then frantically putting out — a fireworks-related bushfire…. Man. I’m so going to hell for that.
The rules are now that I have to tag some other people.
My choices are:
1) Hil the World’s Best Puppet Maker from Spirits Dancing
2) Carolyn Shine – musician, animator, skeptic, staunch friend and damned funny writer
3) Gattina – cat-lovin’ artist extraordinaire
4) The delightful Sally Morrigan who covers all things art and design at Georgie Love
5) Megan — superstar from Bad Kitty Cats
6) The funny and clever Emily Huh from Itchmo.com
7) Shauny at What’s New Pussycat – one of the net’s funniest bloggers (worship, worship).

To run a home business, it is important to have a site of your own. Naturally that requires a web design as well. Your web site design can be a predefined template, or a custom-made one. Having an internet phone is another must feature. Then there are internet marketing methods like pay per click. People use ppc to profit besides their actual business and it works too.

Hey Megan - you’re definitely coming too if you lit them in drought-stricken farmland like we did!
