Mei Mei, my Cornish Rex kitten, needs LOTS of toys to keep her busy mind occupied. She wakes up every morning with a to-do list, at the top of which is “Torment the humans.” This one’s kind of a test version of a commercial product I’ve been meaning to look for. Not that the low budget version doesn’t do the trick. Take one cardboard box and chuck a few rattly, crinkly toys inside (Mei Mei’s favourite toys are tiny rattle-mice). Tape the box shut and get stabby with a pair of scissors – you’ll need a few paw-sized holes that she can peek through and poke. Result: one busy, non-bothersome kitten.
